There are many interesting places to visit in Istanbul. This city abounds of museum, historic monuments and religious sites.
Sultanhamet Mosque:
Also called the Blue mosque, this magnificent piece is one of Istanbul prominent symbols. This mosque was constructed between 1609 and 1616 and was the first to be built with six minarets.
The Grand Bazaar:
Istanbul's Grand Bazaar is one of the oldest markets in the world. It attracts many visitors from all around the globe that enjoy strolling in the bazaar's exotic streets. One will find there many picturesque shops displaying gold, silver or rich hand made rugs and carpets.

The Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art
This museum houses an extensive collection of carpets. It was first opened in 1914 in the Süleymaniye Mosque and then moved in Sultanhamet in 1983.
Topkapi Palace Museum
For nearly four centuries, Topkapi Palace was home to the Ottoman Sultans. The palace houses the imperial treasury, a vast collection of art works, jewellery and money belonging to the Ottoman dynasty.
